DO THEY SPEAK ENGLISH? No. The whole musical is in Portuguese. Those who don’t speak the language will still fully enjoy the visuals and musical numbers. If you have a friend that speaks Portuguese, they can give you quick summaries to let you know what is happening. Even without the understanding the language, though, the musical is still enjoyable!
WHAT I THINK: I really enjoyed this musical! It really gave me a sense of why Cearense people are so proud of where they come from, and it was a nice introduction to some of the legendary people of Ceara who are cultural staples and so much a part of heart of Ceara. As mentioned before, even if you don’t speak Portuguese, I’d still recommend taking in this show because it really gives you a musical and aesthetic feel for traditional cearense Brazilian culture.
IS IT WORTH IT? YES! YES! AND YES!
HOW TO GET THERE: I would recommend UBER or taxi.
