WHAT I THINK: I really like this cultural arts center! It has a really fun, community vibe and it’s full of graffiti art. I can show up there on any random day and take in an art film or art exhibit of some sort. If I show up on any weekend night (Thursday – Sunday), I will usually be greated with good food, free music, and lots of people congregated in one area. There are also music venues and clubs in the area for those who are interested. If I don’t know what I want to do, I can always count on this place to have SOMETHING I like!
IS IT WORTH IT? YES!
HOW TO GET THERE: Uber or taxi. Taxis tend to be available in the area. I would not reccommend catching a bus or walking there, as the area outside of the center can be a bit dodgey.

[…] Dragao Do Mar Culture Center – This complex is huge and features several things like: the Planetarium (features are in Portuguese but still enjoyable to non-speakers), Cafes, art galleries, Arthouse films, Free music concerts, Dance performances, and Restaurants. My personal favorite places to end up for the night are the cafes and Bixiga Restaurant (pronounced bi-SHEE-gah), as it always has an upbeat vibe and live music. Across the street from this massive complex is Orbita, which features live music shows. […]
